Brenda Hanes

 


Ms. Hanes teaches high-functioning students diagnosed with Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, or Other Health Impaired.  She enjoys working with students in kindergarten through fifth grade.  In her eighteen years of teaching, she has taught ten years in Richland School District Two. Previously, she taught in Richland School District One and at the University of South Carolina.   Ms. Hanes earned National Board Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist in 2001. After going to the International School of Kenya she has had the opportunity to a number of countries in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.  In the summer of 2002, she received a Fulbright to Japan.
