Mrs.
Hunter is a third grade teacher at Round Top Elementary. She has
been teaching for 18 years. Five or those years were in Richland
Two as a Primary ALERT teacher. This will be her fifth year as a
third grade teacher at Round Top. Mrs. Hunter earned her undergraduate
and master’s degrees from the University of Virginia. She holds a
South Carolina Endorsement for Gifted and Talented Education.
Mrs. Hunter is also a recipient of a Richland District 2 Culture of
Excellence Award. Previous teaching experience includes 2nd and 3rd
grade in Albemarle County, Virginia and high school and college drama
classes in Virginia and Pennsylvania. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia,
Mrs. Hunter has lived in Columbia for 16 years. She enjoys
spending time with her husband, Jim, and daughter, Liza. Hobbies
include reading, gardening, traveling, and horseback riding.
