I have been teaching for twenty-eight and one half
years with twenty-four and one half of those years being in
kindergarten. I have taught in Indiana, Florida, Alabama and
South Carolina. My Bachelor's degree is from Bowling Green State
University and my Master's is from Purdue North Central University.
I moved to South Carolina with my husband in January, 2004. We
have two grown sons. One son lives in Florida and the other lives
in Louisiana. My husband and I are very fond of our six year old
Maltese, Peanut.
I love nature, especially butterflies. I am currently
serving as President of the Carolina Butterfly Society and was
instrumental in organizing a local chapter. Our group identifies
and records butterfly sightings throughout North and
South Carolina and helps to educate the public about
butterflies.
